Prepare the 2013 debates : Culture, how many divisions?

Unlike other sectors that are burdens on a globalized economy, culture is fragmented, diversified, and multi-faceted. As culture attempts to assert its characteristic job-producing nature, its ability to stimulate a dynamic economy, and its innovative strength, this sector becomes manipulated by political and financial powers. Culture is thus reduced to a mere propagandist tool and a loss leader. That being said, culture exceeds itself: beyond simply being a product to be consumed, is culture a factor of cohesion or a dynamic for dissidence?
