THE CULTURAL START-UP OF THE WEEK: YOUBOOX

To launch our online cultural series, the Forum d’Avignon would like to present : Yooboox, an ebook application for French readers.

What is your company’s objective ?

Yooboox is the first ebook streaming service :  100 000 books of all genres are available on our catalogue in unlimited access on tablets, smartphones and web.

What challenges do you face in your development ?

Regulatory changes we are experiencing, I hope will show that digital innovation and French traditional cultural are not always incompatible.

What does it mean to be cultural entrepreneur ?

An cultural entrepreneur means to have a mission to develop by all possible means all part of our culture : gastronomy, TV, literature, and regardless of the domain, as long as we’re working to rende rit more accessible. To be a cultural entrepreneur, is to be concerned about such impalpable wealth that defines us and our history.
