WHO IS … Eduardo Browne ?

Founder, Artistic Director and Conductor of the Camerata Universidad de Los Andes in Santiago, Chile, he served as Resident Conductor of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra in Fort Worth, Texas from 2001 until 2004. He is the Founder and Conductor of the Symphonic Band Program at Universidad de Chile and has held the positions of Principal Conductor of the Riverside Orchestra in New York City, Principal Guest Conductor of the National Youth Symphony of Chile and Conductor for the Family Series of the Orquesta Sinfónica, Chile’s foremost ensemble. He has guest conducted in 3 continents and he feels equally at home in Operatic, Broadway Musical and Ballet repertoire, having lead the opera companies at the Teatro Municipal de Santiago, the Ateneo de Caracas and in Malaysia. He has taught at his Alma Mater, The Juilliard School, and presently is a Professor at Universidad de los Andes, where he designed the musical components of the General Curriculum for all Careers and at Universidad de Chile where he leads the Master’s Program in Orchestral Conducting. He enjoys a widespread reputation as a lecturer, both in his concert presentations and also in seminars and business settings.
