Since a few years, Julien Levesque has been regularly integrating internet as a material in his work inventing interactive mechanisms, websites and objects which question in a playful and critical way our contemporary reality. Taking shape through different media (Internet, photography, video, edition …), the artist who loves collecting, deciphing, transforming the data by giving them an unexpected aspect, explores the landscape of information that surrounds us. His works are halfway online and outstanding, and also question the porous border between them.
Since March 2010, Julien Levesque has been the initiator with Albertine Meuner of the project Hyper(r)olds, (Group of connected seniors), of internet and multimedia workshops with women older than 77 years who take place every week between the Maison des Métallos and the Gaîté Lyrique in Paris (hyperolds.com).
Julien Levesque lives and works in Paris.
