Bice Curiger is an art critic and exhibition curator, artistic Director of the Fondation Vincent van Gogh Arles since 2013. After a degree in the History of Art at the University of Zurich, she helped founding Parkett, a series of books about contemporary art, published in Zurich and New York since 1984, and is also its editor. From 1993 - 2013 she worked as a curator at the Museum of Fine Arts, Kunsthaus Zürich and organized numerous exhibitions, such as « Birth of the Cool », « Georgia O’Keeffe », « Expanded Eyes », « Sigmar Polke », « Riotous Baroque ». She has written numerous books. In 2011 she was appointed director of the 53rd Venice Biennale. She received many awards, including the Prix Meret Oppenheim (2012). In 2014 France awarded her the title of Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres.
