Next-up on our online cultural entrepreneur series, the Forum d’Avignon would like to introduce: Ooshot a digital concierge for photography.
What is your company’s objective?
Inundate the world of companies with images of talented photographers and so that they will be properly remunerated.
Talent is not inaccessible like it is presented and thought today, with dedicated tools, an artist and an entrepreneur can collaborate inside a fair and honest framework.
All it takes are tools adapted to today’s problems.
What challenges do you face in your development?
Communicating the idea that we are not agents, nor galleries, but a collaborative platform that proposes tools and services facilitating collaboration and thus, reducing the cost of production.
Consequently, the focus is on creation and not on negotiation. All interest and success coming from a happy collaboration between an artist and a client is business preparation. We often think photography is limited to creation, but all the success depends on the organization and the visual discussion. The understanding and the respect for the artist and the client.
Oooshot’s mission is to propose such online collaboration tools.
What does it mean to be a cultural entrepreneur?
It’s fascinating to be able to create a bridge between culture and business. The two worlds need each other, they nurture each other.
Let us not never forget that Man Ray’s woman in tears of pearl was a commission placed for advertising :-)
Not to mention other sublime creations.
