Culture is future » Innovation and digital

Next-up on our online cultural entrepreneur series, the Forum d’Avignon would like to introduce: Hostanartist, an online platform that allows private property owners to offer artists spaces and residences for creation.

What is your company’s objective?

Hostanartists is an online platform aiming to become international and allow private or public property owners to offer artists their vacation houses, appartments, rooms, ateliers, offices or empty spaces for artistic creation. In exchange of these residencies, artists offer their sponsors an artwork, an original text, a private class, a private concert or in any format that will allow them to create a new link between them and their hosts.

What challenges do you face in your development?

To find fundings, to build partnerships with cultural structural on a national level (city/region) and on an international level. To consolidate the number of residencies to offer artists a maximum of places. Create a perennial judicial model that will reassure the hosts and the terms of exchange between the artists and the host. To find a model for self-financing that constrains neither the artist nor the host.

What does it mean to be a cultural entrepreneur?

To be at the service for the domain artists with whom we work.

Offer a perfect and coherent service.

Invent a new service around the main services that are already proposed on our platform.

Find a balance between public and private financing in order to stay in the same logic and remain a service that is not too commercial.
