Next-up on our online cultural entrepreneur series, the Forum d’Avignon would like to continue: Bandsquare, a solution for artists to allow them to directly organize with their fans their next tour.
What is your company’s objective?
BandSquare allows artists and their teams to directly organize with their fans their next tour. We have been working since 2013 with reclaimed artists (Youssoupha, Arnaud Ducret, Michaël Grégorio, Ben Oncle Soul, etc.) and in development (IGIT, Mathieu Saikaly, Opé Smith, etc.) who wish to reclaim contact with their audiences and propose new innovative models for collaboration.
What challenges do you face in your development?
Today, our challenge is to help understand that key to the war is about managing public relations and that can be done by intelligently using the database. More and more actors are sensible of these questions, but are still far from perceiving the marketing potential that it represents.
What does it mean to be a cultural entrepreneur?
It means to reconcile the evolving changes in digital with the search for financial autonomy using traditional, artisanal methods and often depending on public networks. These two directions are far from antagonistic and even if they require more digital education for cultural actors, for me it seems to go in the same direction as creating value.
