The ambition of the Forum d’Avignon is to reunite the cultural, economic and media worlds, three sector which synergy is essential to develop any cultural project. This wish has been expressed, during the the first edition of the Forum d’Avignon, held in November 2008, on the occasion of the French Presidency of the European Union with this thematic: “culture: factor of growth”.

During two days, at the Palais des Papes, artists, producers, editors, their industrial and financial partners, CEO’s of Internet and media firms gathered with politicians for an unique meeting at an international level. 300 personalities from Algeria, Brazil, Cambodia, South Korea, the United States of America, Mali, Morocco, Norway, of all over the European Union shared their experiences and created a new alchemy.
From its first edition, the Forum d’Avignon, seduced all its attendees by its originality: the prolixity of the debates and the themes treated, the mix of the artists and the CEO’s created a unique state of mind, the one of the Forum d’Avignon.
