Since its first edition in 2008, the Forum d’Avignon partners with universities. Students and professors from universities and schools gather at the Forum d’Avignon to enrich the debates and share their vision on the issues related to culture, economy and the media.
The students of the universities partners integrate the reflections of the think tank actively participating to the international webography CULTURE IS FUTURE, coming to the Forum d'Avignon and elaborating publications on the debates.
During the year, the team of the Forum d’Avignon intervenes in universities and increase the awareness of the students of the challenges of culture and economy. In addition, the students regularly write articles for the webography Culture is future.
The Forum d’Avignon organizes, in partnership with the University of Avignon, a session of debate at the university where the participants meet more than 300 students.
International chefs, who come on a voluntary basis, pass on their passion to the students of the Hotel School of Avignon (Chamber of commerce and industry of the Vaucluse).

ESSEC
The ESSEC Media & Entertainment Chair is a research and teaching chair established from a partnership between ESSEC and Société Générale, Orange group and Les Echos daily newspapers. It brings together ESSEC professors and sector professionals, whose combined skills form a bridge between the world of research and management education and the media and cultural sectors. Its missions are to train high-potential managers of the future in the sector specificities and the businesses it encompasses, develop research for analyzing sector fundamentals, reflecting on problematic areas and anticipating trends and develop monitoring and observation activities.

The University of Bologna has a long tradition of research and teaching in many fields. The department of Management is active in teaching business administration, from undergraduate to the PhD level, and doing research. Within the department, a group of scholars share a strong interest in the management of arts organization. University of Avignon
A partner of the Forum d’Avignon since its launching in 2008, the University of Avignon and Vaucluse is an autonomous French University. A ‘scientific, cultural and professional’ Public Institution, it welcomes more than 7000 students, from Bachelor to Phd, and counts around 15 research centers.
The research activities of the University of Avignon lean on two major scientific axis, constituting its identity fundamentally linked to its history and environment: Agrosciences / Sciences and Culture / Heritage.
The University of Avignon also gathers four training and research units (UFR-ip), an institute of technology (IUT) and a center of computer research and studies (CERI).

School of journalism and communication of Marseille
Founded in 1982, the School of Journalism and Communication of Marseille, located in the heart of Marseille, is since 1989 an autonomous component of the University of the Mediterranean Aix-Marseille II. Recognized by the National Committee for the Employment of journalists through its specialty Journalism, the School trains in all areas of Communications and Information Technology and delivers Master level University degrees. Its research center contributes to educational innovation and enables the pursuit of doctoral studies. The EJCM aims to meet the needs of the information and knowledge society. ESC Dijon
Founded in 1889, the group ESC Dijon-Bourgogne is a school of teaching and research which belong to the network of the best French academic institutions specialized in management. Since 1990, the group ESC Dijon Bourgogne put its experience and its networks at the disposal of the fields of culture and creative industries. The MECIC pole (management of the cultural businesses and the creative industries) offers two trainings: the MS MECIC (Management of the cultural businesses and the creative industries), handed out in Paris, and the Master in Business, specialization Culture and creative industries in the program Grande Ecole, in Dijon. This high-level formation is very selective, focuses on the professions of “institutional culture” and adapts to the new challenges of the creative industries. We find the creative industries in many fields: luxury industries, gastronomy, events, online creative services … in a complex world with the multiplication of media and foundations, the future managers of these cultural sectors must have a broader vision.

Kaos Pilots Aarhus
The Kaospilots is an international school situated in Aarhus Denmark. It provides a three years education programme, equivalent to a bachelor, for students from all over the world. The students are educated in four disciplines: Creative Business Design; Creative Leadership Design; Creative Project Design; Creative Process Design. The students learn how to build a viable business according to their and clients visions and values, they learn how to be leaders, and how to initiate and execute creative and sustainable projects, as well as design and conduct change processes for different clients. On the 1st January 2002 the Department of Industrial Design, Arts, Communication and Fashion INDACO was created within the Politecnico di Milano.

Università Bocconi
Università Bocconi was founded in 1902 and became the first Italian institution of higher education to grant a degree in economics. Today, Bocconi is a research university of international standing in business, economics, finance and law. Its study programs, both in Italian and English, run from Bachelor to PhD level and include courses that bridge the gaps between economics and cultural areas such as fashion, the arts and marketing.
