Culture is future » Innovation and digital

Next-up on our online cultural entrepreneur series, the Forum d’Avignon would like to introduce: Meludia is a web-based application that develops music perception.

What is your project/idea/start-up?

Meludia is a web-based application that develops music perception, sensitivity and understanding in an intense, emotional and enjoyable way. Our web application,, is used by beginners, who want to develop their listening abilities and their musical pleasure, by some of the most famous professional musicians, for 'ear training' and by music educators and schools all over the world.

What is your current challenge?

Our current stake stands in scaling the company and the product. More and more people are using and subscribing to Meludia everywhere in the world.  It requires that we translate the platform in many languages, upgrade our IT infrastructure and deal with a continuous growth of our users.

For you, what does it mean to be a cultural entrepreneur?

It is wonderful to be in a cultural milieu: our mission is beautiful and fascinating. But it is also a great challenge: it would be dangerous to fall in the trap of public funding and we prefer finding sustainable revenue streams and partnerships.
