Culture is future » Innovation and digital

Next-up on our online cultural entrepreneur series, the Forum d’Avignon would like to introduce: Art Kids Paris.

 What is your company’s objective?

Art Kids Paris aims at making art history more accessible for children from 5 years old up to 15 years old.

Several American studies have shown the importance of art for children’s education and personal growth.

Art Kids Paris wants to give art the same importance as sport and music in children’s every day life and education. In order to do so, we have created the concept of “artertainment” (contraction of “art” and “entertainment”). “Artertainment” is an introduction to art history and culture created in order to educate and have fun in the same time. Artertainement is developed through visits of museums and monuments. These visits are led by “Art Kids Sisters” who are art history students.

What challenges do you face in your development?

Today our offer is still oriented towards visits and its various declinations (birthdays, short courses etc…). Our challenge is to broaden our offer in terms of diffusion and content.

For that, we are developing several projects such as the creation of an app, an Art Kids community together witha web series. Something similar to “Dora” but with culture so that Art and its History become a game for all children!

What does it mean to be a cultural entrepreneur?

A cultural entrepreneur is to be passionate and trying all the time to be creative and innovate! We have the chance to be at the same time in cultural start-up environment and also in Ed-tech one. This double belonging forces us to explore the most innovating way in cultural awareness and education.

We are convinced to broadcast our passion for art to every child in the world.
