The future is fueled by talent! In order to encourage innovation, the Forum d’Avignon launches the Cultural Start-up Award on the occasion of its 8th International meetings on March 31 and April 1, 2016 at Bordeaux!
Bestowed by a jury chaired by Véronique Morali, CEO of Webedia & Fimalac Développement, the Award will be given at the opening session of the International meetings on March 31 at the Grand-Théâtre of Bordeaux in front of a wide audience of business leaders, artists, and political decision-makers!
Two Prizes will be given in 2016:
1. Jury Prize: it rewards the most innovative project.
2. Public Prize: among the 5 nominees, it rewards the to the start-up that gathers the largest number of votes on the online platform hosted by the Forum d'Avignon from March 8.
62 young promising start-ups, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register or with the equivalent register abroad since less than 4 years, coming from all the sectors of the cultural field (plastic & graphic arts, book, music, cinema, performing arts, heritage...) responded to the call for applications!
Each winner (Jury Prize, Public Prize):
Besides, the winner of the Jury Prize will benefit from a two-month intensive acceleration session, either in the autumn of 2016 or in one of the acceleration sessions in 2017, in The Bridge, European Accelerator powered by French Tech Culture national label "Innovative, culture and digital ecosystem" whose partners are Orange, Microsoft, the Capital & Innovation department of Crédit Agricole Alpes-Provence, B2Pweb, and Jocatop.
The Forum d'Avignon will take in charge the winners during the International meetings in Bordeaux on March 31st and April 1st (comprising registration fees equivalent to € 900, transportation from Paris to Bordeaux via the chartered train, accomodation).
The jury is chaired by Véronique Morali, CEO of Webedia and Fimalac Développement, and comprises the following key figures of culture and innovative entrepreneurs:
