Nowadays, internet gives opportunities that some firms know how to use; but just a few succeed in creating a new project. Conde Nast, the giant of the press industry is now in a crossover: in a central position with their digital version of WIRED, the Advance Magazine Publisher division offers a second life to Gourmet on the web.
The last publication of Gourmet was in November 2009. The favorite magazine of « gastronomie » in United States has been vanished from press industry 68 years after its creation by Earle R. Mac Ausland. One of its value was to keep French terms in recipes and articles, giving the opportunity to French speakers to hear delightfully, « Gratin » or « Quiche » in an Anglo-Saxon phrase. Apple is now participating in this tradition, proposing an i-pad app for Gourmet Live.
